In the past few years, renewable energy sources specially wind farms have become more and more attractive for electrical utilities. Feasibility study is the first step in constructing Wind power plants. It evaluates thepossibility ofestablishingawindpower plant which is closely related to technical and economical aspects. Furthermore, site location and type of wind turbine play a prominent role in this study. Also, many topics such as the estimation of annual generation energy capacity and number of turbines, interconnection method between wind power plant and network (the national or regional), should be determined in this study. In this paper Feasibility study for construction of a 10 MW power plant has beeninvestigated based entirely on the regional wind potential (MoravehTappeh), and meteorological data. All of statistical analysiswereperformed using COMFAR software. |
