Impacts of Building Insulation on Energy Consumption in Different Climates of Iran: A Cost Analysis

One of the most important energy-saving of building is suitable choice of insulation with regard to the climatic conditions of each region. In this study, the effects of building insulations approved by the Research Center of Way, Housing and Urban Development with regard to the cost of insulation on energy consumption in the region of Yazd, Tehran and Tabriz was evaluated by software Energy Plus. The results showed that the best insulation for the cities of Yazd, Tehran and Tabriz were expanded polystyrene insulation that stead in the walls and Note that almost all materials for the city of Tabriz except two types of polyurethane and glasswool insulation used in roofs are good performance in terms of energy savings and the costs. The results can be accepted benchmark for investors and custodians housing sector also this study can be used as a vision of research in the construction of buildings with lower energy consumption to be.
