Ecology and environment have important role for human and in economic system and creating value-added in many products and services. for this porpuse Understanding The destructive factors for the prevention and protection of the environment is very important. Among the damaging environmental factors, production and consumption of fossil fuels is a majar factor. As a result of expanding clean energy production, environmental degradation can be much reduced because of the benefits of this type of energy. this study investigated the relationship between electricity production from renewable sources and carbon dioxide emissions in the period 1971 to 2009 using ARDL apporach and bounds test. The results show that an increase of 1 percent of electricity generation from renewable sources reduces the carbon dioxide 0.31and 0.07 percent in long and short-run. also EKC hypothesis in the long and short-run rejected in period of study.
