In recent years, Supplying sustainable water resources in waterless areas can be considered as some of the major problems in Iran. Presently, there are two conventional systems for desalination technique i.e MED and RO to produce drinkable water, eventhought each ones have its advantages and disadvantages. In this research two integrated system including series and parallel configurations of hybrid MED nad RO has been simulated for production of desalted water and electricity using a gas turbine cycle for Qeshm area, an island in southen part of Iran, near strait of Hormoz. LCOE and LCOW methods ware also applied to evaluate the levelised cost followed by a sensitivity analysis considering the influence different parameters such water production capacity, availability factor, gas price and so on. The results indicated that parallel layout would be the best from Technical-economic aspects of design and also Gas price and water production capacity have the most effective on the LOCE and LCOW.
