Optimal Allocation of Multi DGs Based on Nodal Pricing Using Anarchic Society Optimization Considering Nonlinear Load Model
Abstract:   (3767 Views)
The increased use of Distributed Generations (DGs) in distribution level has changed the characteristics of distribution network from passive to active. Thus, pricing mechanisms that have been applied in transmission networks as a nodal pricing can be employed in distribution networks. If installation of DG in distribution network decrease the power system losses and line loading, nodal prices of power and the system cost will reduce and vice versa. This paper presents a novel methodology to calculate the optimal size and identify the corresponding optimum location for DG placement based on nodal pricing via maximizing the profit of distribution companies that employ DG in their network for acquiring multiple advantages using the Anarchic Society Optimization (ASO) algorithm which is inspired by a social grouping in which members behave anarchically to improve their situation for profit maximizing and loss reduction. Most of the literatures dealing with DGs have assumed loads as constant in their analyses. Since the loads are sensitive to voltage and frequency, analysis assuming constant loads will give inaccurate and misleading results. The proposed methodology is tested on a 38 nodes radial distribution test system with mixed load model which includes residential, commercial, industrial loads and constant loads.
