Climate plays an role before building construction, which depends on geographical location of the building.Climatic parameters including sunlight, temperature, humidity, rainfall, and wind determine the general design and components of the building, which must be designed for each climate. In this article, different comfort conditions and architectural provisions were proposed for near-zero energy consumption buildings design in different climatic conditions of Iran according to the Köppen-Geiger method using passive methods. Based on Köppen-Geiger climate classification, the Iran climate is segmented to nine climates. Sfa, Scb, Scaand Dsaclimates are important climatic groups of Iran, each one covers a large part of the country.Using the Köppen-Geiger method and some selected cities in Sfa, Scb, Scaand Dsaclimates by Client Consult software with EPW format according to ASHRAE 55 standard method and PMV comfort model (predicted mean vote) the effect of climatic conditions on near-zero energy consumption buildings design were proposed.By importing the climate parameters file of the selected cities in the Climate Consultant software, output results including psychrometric chart, sun shading chart, wind wheel and other results were obtained. Moreover, parameters of passive architecture for near-zero energy consumptionbuildingdesign, such as the orientation of windows, floor covers, amount of passive solar heating hours and other parameters were investigated.
