Over the past twenty years the percentage of total agricultural labor force is decreasing and the percentage of the labor force in Iran than in other countries. To optimize the energy requirements of the agricultural sector in Yazd province by providing practical solutions such as turning electropumps diesel and electric, electropunp proper selection and efficiency of pumping systems, switch from flood irrigation to pressurized irrigation systems, agricultural product selection in accordance with the climate of the study, demand reduction and electropumps scheme is examined. In this estimate potential energy savings from optimization strategies in agriculture Yazd about 1023931.1 MWh of electrical energy sector and about 682.63 million cubic meters of water savings are possible.
