Optimal Design of a 100kw Grid Connected Photovoltaic Power Plant In Tehran Using Pvsyst Software

This paper presents a practical and operational aspects of optimal sizing of equipments in a 100 kW grid connected photovoltaic power plant. PV modules and inverters are the main elements of PV power plants and optimal selection of capacity and configuration of them will cause in increase of output energy. Photovoltaic modules in the design, arrangement and number of strings in the array are specified. Also proposed method describes how to select the inverter and also how to select the optimal configuration of the various configurations. The deployment of arrays of photovoltaic power plants in the field, with the space between the rows mentioned obeying occupy less area for ease of maintenance and prevention of photovoltaic modules shading effects. Also according to the latitude of Tehran, the optimum slope of photovoltaic modules is determined in terms of design. Finally, the proposed design and calculations verified by PVSyst simulation software.
