The present article examines the optimization of the cooling process of the air inlet of the gas turbine compressor by fogging method. The case study in this work is the GE-LM2500 gas turbine. The relationship between the water flow and the air flow is defined through linear and second-order regression mathematical models with the aim of minimizing water consumption and maximizing cooling speed. Then, using numerical analysis, the fogging process in the engine inlet duct is modeled in a two-phase manner. Also, MOGA algorithm and CCD neural network were used for optimization. A matrix of optimized models is numerically tested and after selecting the final three models, the best model is introduced for this process. According to the results obtained in the optimal model, water consumption has decreased by 46.5% and also, the air temperature has decreased by 1% more.
